Attractive mocha, smoke, plum, graphite and tar notes meld together gracefully.. the essence of Maremma warmth and resonance in its open, supple personality. Layers of dark red and black fruit build to an effortless, textured finish. - Vinous

Really enjoyed this medium bodied international varieties Tuscan. Leather and mocha. Lovely finish. Really food friendly too. Maybe I tried it a bit young but all that means is that I'll enjoy the next one even more!

2009 vintage. Smelled a little hot and saline along with some dill and fresh mint leaf in the nose. A bit of frontal palate richness along with mid-palate concentration. Finish was initially flat upon decanting but picked up some stream after an hour. 15% ABV. In a state of transition currently but headed in the right direction. Really nice blend and a very pleasant surprise. 3.11.23.

Still tasting so well! Needed to open for 60 minutes in a decanter.

Beauty in the glass. Granite, aromatics, structured tannins - perfectly balanced. Still a lot of age possible.

Layered, expressive nose of blackberry, cassis, cedar, espresso, light soy source, tobacco, and herbal spices. Very refined palate with dark fruits brighten by beautiful acidity and ripe velvety candied tannins. The finish feels like endless.

80/20 Cab/Merlot from 2 vineyards, raised in French oak barrel for 18 months, 15% new (Nose suggested much heavier oak use, but by no means it’s okay).

I don’t remember when and where I acquired this bottle, but I’m glad I did.
