Mid yellow in colour. Flinty, minerally with light stone fruit - under ripe peach/nectarine. Restrained, delicate, savoury, beautiful. Just an excellent Chardonnay whichever way you cut it. The labels copying the Burgundian graphics but totally worthy of the contents. Sorrenberg, in Beechworth, is a neighbour of Giaconda - generally recognised as one of the best in Australia.

2014. I make no secret of my love for this wine. Punches above its weight in value and quality. Great weight and complexity. The use of Malo and French oak is exceptional

2004. Rich, full and very long. Honey, fig and caramel with well balanced oak. Drinking now. Delicious.

Ripper Chardonnay. Polished and complex. Seamless and generous stone fruit with soft citrus frame and tail. Integrated oak. Immensely satisfying after a busy busy night. Thumbs up from all the MH crew. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ
