Really struggled with giving this wine a rating for a considerable amount of time. It's vibrant, juicy, smash able and shows great varietal character. This particular Pinot sits in Oakridge's cheapest range of wines and you certainly can so a lot worse for the $23. It shows immediate wholebunch character which I'm lead to believe is only 10% use, behind that the wine brings red currants, red cherries, clove, vodka / cranberry and spicy oak. The palate is dominated by red fruits but has a slight musk and rhubarb tone sitting in the background. Juicy acid keeps the wine flowing and fine grainy tannin really plays a supporting role. In summary, it's the point that brings this up a few points.

Remarkably good value. It’s more of a drink now style than, say, the Hoddles Creek at a similar price point and won’t have an exciting future ahead of it, but it’s very enjoyable. (Looks like I’m a point or two down from my last rating, which I’ll attribute to the shitty glass I’m using!)

Great value. Under $20 for a pinot and it’s really easy to enjoy (even better after being open for a day or so). Nice balance of classic pinot aromas, upfront fruit, perky acid and palate texture. Nails the brief.

Pleasant nose of light strawberries and toast, but completely insipid in the mouth. I’ve had great Oakridge Pinots and think they are good value. This is not a bad wine, but it lacks any depth beyond its nose. I won’t buy this one again.

Australian Pinot for the win. Nicely done, @Ryan Woodhouse - delish! Red cherry, mineral, strawberry, cranberry, spice- perfect while watching the Warriors!
