Introducing the new release Alkoomi 2017 White Label Chardonnay which retails for $15 a pop.

Alkoomi hail from the Frankland River in WA’s Great Southern Wine Region. Alkoomi is an Aboriginal name meaning ‘a place we chose’. And the logo is a depiction of the unusual grass tree which grows in the same gravelly soils as the vines.

This bottle has a super power. The power of making its lemony-coloured contents vanish very fast! On the nose it has lovely vibrant grapefruit notes alongside baking spice, nuts and fresh orchard fruits. In the mouth it’s juicy and refreshing with a minerality to it and lovely melon and vanilla infused peach notes coming through.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #sample #tcweekdaywine

Another new release from Alkooni Wines which I was lucky enough to taste recently. Many thanks for the sample guys! Mr. Spittoon made us Thai spiced chicken breasts on a black rice stirfry and the combo was delicious. The chilli in the dish really brought out the tropical/fruity vibe of the vino.

Silvery colour on the eye with a splash of yellow. We've noticed all the Alkoomi Wines we've tried recently have had crystal clear clarity. The nose welcomes you on a tropical holiday with banana and honeydew melon alongside a whiff of apple cider. The palate has a soft almost creamy texture with lovely flavours of orchard fruits and melon. Nice mineral acidity and a clean finish. If you like fruity over oaky Chardy then this one is for you, $15 a bottle.
