Want to start drinking 2011 Portuguese wines since I hear it's an epic vintage. This lil number wasn't bad for $11. Plum, spices and purple paint on my teef.

Dark ruby in color with medium intensity.

Stinky nose with plums, blueberries, barnyard, animal notes, vanilla, oak and black pepper.

Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.

Off-dry and fruity on the palate, with blackberries, black currants, earth, plums, bell pepper, black pepper, vegetables and herbs.

Medium finish with soft tannins and tart cherries.

This Portuguese red wine is simple, unbalanced and unattractive.
Not for me whatsoever. I'd rather have a 2 buck chuck instead...

13.5% alcohol by volume.

Structured and fruity. Nice grip with good acidity. Fruity and a touch syrupy but not jammy with nice tannin lingering on the palate.
