Weak on the nose of cherries, strawberry gum and minerality. Really hard to distinguish much more than that. On the palate is also weak and flat, not a good showing. There are some cherry and dark fruit, hints of clove and spice but very weak and uneventful.

Very pleasant pinot. Fruity and light. Easy drinking without food.

Earthy, dirty, but very accessible. Lots of acidity and phenolic ripeness. According to Chris, New Zealand benefits from the ozone hole to mature grapes without too much sugar. Roaring forties blows air too prevent fungi etc.

This Sauvignon tastes precisely like one; no surprises. But it is a rather good one; it can be bought knowing it will be a good glass of Sauvignon. I suggest it for a weeknight, with a light meal.
