Fleshy, inky and spicy - like thick black plum skins coated in fresh cracked black peppercorn.

Ripe and generous, yet with a positive tannic backbone and a positive freshness. Not overtly complex but well balanced.

I enjoyed this, hubby did not. It does have a diesel, burnt tire smell. Not the best on the nose. Tasted great though. Full bodied, very jammy. Strawberry and lingering sweetness. I would buy again & I know I’d get the whole bottle to myself. 🙂

Had the 2018 on December 18, 2022 after a three hour World Cup nail biting final between France and Argentina. Yeah 🇦🇷! Not always a fan of Malbecs but this one was very tasty. Some of the dark, jammy fruits up front and bone dry on the finish. Hint of vanilla lingering in the finish. Well balanced with the dark fruits and oak/vanilla. Would definitely have this one again.

Bone dry. Dark dark fruit
Elegant silky. A bit of alcohol/tightness at opening. Probably needs to breathe for a few hours

Fully opaque violet. Aromas of dark berries, violets, dusty cedar, and hints of game. Surprisingly structured for Malbec with prominent gritty, tannins and acid as well as 14.6% alcohol. Made by Michel Rolland.
