Tasted blind. Deep, dark amber tinged and tawny color. Hits me immediately as a gravel-influenced Bordeaux and I’m am in Graves with my guess. Notes of tobacco, graphite, ash, earth and gravel stone. Big shoulders, and a little hot. Yet silky in the mouth. I guess 82 La Mish HB. This has plenty of life in front of it, but give it 5+ hrs of air if consuming in the near term as the provider of this wine did.

Brownish red and almost opaque. Sweet fruit forward nose. Notes of sweet raspberries, plums, moist soil, cola, old leather saddle and some camphor. Nice balance in the mouth. Smooth and refined. Medium plus finish. Nice drinker but lacks the emotion of a big bottle.

The 2015 Tertre-Rôteboeuf has a sumptuous, decadent and multi-layered bouquet with
billowing black cherries, blueberry, crème de cassis and violet aromas that are hedonistic and irresistible. The palate is full-bodied with a lot of extraction: chocolate-tinged black fruit, sweet and candied with veins of peppermint toward the no-holds barred finish. A powerhouse of a Saint Émilion, I was initially prudent with my score but the manner in which it coalesces in the glass is convincing. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, July 2019)

Oldest of the wines this nite...red to a brick/brown rim, slightly cloudy...very little if any fruit left which was a little disappointing...all tertiary, earth, mushroom, toast, fig, but a slight sweet vanilla, quite complex.

Loads of oak. Loads of ripe red fruit. I can tell that in 10 years this will be seriously complex and still in a beautiful place. A bit premature at this stage but it has the stuffing for the long haul. Wouldn’t guess it was st Emilion at this stage but still has some of the character I find in older versions from This polarizing producer

Tasted blind. Similar descriptors for this wine sitting next to the 82 LLC. Bright fruit. Earthy. Wow factor with puckering acidity going up against a strong core of fruit. Also very young in its journey. Needs a few more decades to acquire some complexity and secondary/tertiary characteristics. Also 94+

The cork is perfect, looks like a 5 years old one. Nose of dark fruit compote ...mostly plums. The mouth fell is fresh, vibrant and supple...a “wow” wine.
