Trocken Blauer Spätburgunder

I've hit the last 4 out of 5 weekly wine committees and it has been a treat every time. This week, @Jeff Meyer hosted and schooled everyone on how good German wines can be!

Guessed Pinot Noir here, and was correct. Assumed Germany, and again, correct. More Burgundian compared to reds 1 and 4. Light bodied. Funky nose of sage and herb-filled strawberries.

Knipsed me Out

Smoke and salt. Textured grip.

Paired with duck confit

Typical German PN nose, Great wine. Forest! Brown, fruty. Opens itself quite nice

Delightful Pinot Noir from Germany. Light brick colored, medium bodied. Still a little tightly wound but opens up nicely. A little forest floor funk on the nose, cherries and sage on the palate. Bright acidity.

Nose: compote with pear, plum and strawberry underlying a strong earthy note. Tannins have a strong finish with an acidity that is equally as present. The palate has cherry, the cooked pear and bright plum with portobello and earth.

Jordbær. Lakrids. Stald. Frugtsyre. Livets lethed og alvor i et glas.

Schöner Spätburgunder, allerdings wird der Name mitbezahlt.
