CORKED! So pissed and disappointed right now.

Modern style but pleasant. A mere one hour decant and it was drinkable now as opposed to more classically styled Baroli.

Cherries, pencil, black licorice. Good Peppone’s bargain!

Wasn’t holding out much hope for this for whatever reason. Instead, a surprise. Bright fruit flavors, an elegant nose and an amazing acidity. A fantastic partner with my bolognese as i sit in the other room....while the 7 sorority sisters destroy the bread, pasta and kung fu girl riesling in the dining room. 😂 I’m a good dad.

Anis on the nose, mild tannins great pairing with red clam sauce.

IT took a while to open up, but once it did, it was very nice.

Modern in style but quite enjoyable. Oak is noticeable but not intrusive. Lots of fruit still present with slight sweetness on the midpalate and lively tannins on a bone dry finish. Decanted for two hours as tannins are still fairly aggressive otherwise. It is advisable.
