Not a Cabernet-Syrah blend (where does Delectable get this stuff?). A classic Rhône varietal Provençal blend led by Carignan. Deep, star bright salmon pink. Abundant nose of Montmorency cherry, and strawberry. Juicy, medium light palate echoes the nose adding a hint of anise and earth. Lingering finish for a rosé. Remarkably complex rosé from the creator of the prevailing Provence style, Régine Sumiere. Enjoy as a sipper or with a wide range of foods, especially the classic salade Niçoise. Drink now.

Bright salmon pink. Abundant nose of ripe cantaloupe and white flowers. Juicy palate echoes the nose with Royal Anne cherries, fines herbs, and a hint of anise on the lengthy but classically soft finish. Medium plus acidity is kept in check by the flavor profile. Complex as all get out for a Provençal rosè. Enjoy with meals from seafood to light cuts of beef(!) and it will sing! I’m having it with vegetarian pizza, but on its own as a warm weather sipper is a natural, too! Thanks, Regine!!

Pale salmon in color. Nose of minerally melon, echoed on the palate which also yields white flowers and marzipan. Body is light. Acidity is medium minus (as appropriate for the appellation). Finish is surprisingly long. As I’ve read, the 2018 vintage is a bit weaker than its immediate predecessors and that shows here. Not as much depth as last year, but Madame Sumiere still managed to pull off a very nice and typical rosè. As well she should, having invented the style and all. Salade Niçoise is of course a natural pair, but feel free to take this one into the fall. Drink now.
