Such a great vintage for #flxwine ! Love that Shalestone has made it their mission to do ALL reds and do them extremely well. Delicious dark fruit characteristics with balanced acidity and a velvet mouthfeel. I have been saying for many years now to give the FLX reds more respect. Blind taste some NYS reds mixed next to other reds and you will be pleasantly surprised.

A rare example of a good FLX Pinot. Very different from France or Oregon though. Nice cherry undertones with a light smokey and nut finish. One of the better producers of reds on Seneca Lake shows why they know how to maximize the potential of this region. Their other refs are also worth trying too.
