Bukovica Vipavska Dolina Rebula

Excellent example of European amber wine. Deep amber color from the Rebula grape variety, skin contact and oak work miracles for the taste and body. Aromas of honey, yellow apple, tobacco, persimmon, daffodils, cinnamon. Longish aftertaste with apples, tobacco and persimmon. Starts to lose its acidity, but still vibrant. Well-balanced wine with pleasant oily body.

This Rebula is amazing, 20 days of skin contact followed by oak barrels result in very layered and soft taste. Cognac like aftertaste, which makes me drink it w/o any food.

2004 vintage
Светло-янтарный, чуть мутноватый цвет. Вначале мягкие летучие лаковые ноты, под ними бледная курага, флердоранж, жёлтая черешня, мушмула, ароматные травы. Легкие, аккуратные танины. Несложно, очень свежо, гармонично; натурально, но без перегибов. Симпатично и питко.
