Black cherry, raspberry, lilac, lavender, bell pepper, smashed herbs, and black dirt. Tannins are fine-grained and the palate is energetic. The blend of Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc does surprisingly well. This blend is meticulous and purposeful. Virginia keeps getting better and better in my book!

Love this wine and it's one of our favorite go to wines. The 2013 is just as good as previous vintages we have enjoyed. Deep dark Ruby color, with lots of dark berry fruit and toast notes. Full bodied with light tannins and short medium finish. Delicious and great value!
