Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Lovely aromatics. Bell pepper/jalapeño. More green on the nose than palate. Beautifully balanced. Ripe tannin. For filet mignon or rack of lamb.

First 2016 Napa I’ve had from any producer. This is wonderfully restrained. Showing blue and bright red fruit but not at all overripe or rich. Nice acidity and only medium tannins. These will be great to enjoy in the near term.

Second label of Forman. Intensely green pepper a bit linear. Fresh red and blueberries on the palate. Restraint.. Elevated acid, tannin, and body.

2007 vintage. Ric Forman's second label cab drinks beautifully now. Black currant, pencil shavings, cedar wood and flowers. Ripe black fruit in the mouth, very fresh acidity and nice slightly peppery finish. Abv. 14,5%.

Deep ruby color, med tears light staining, nose is rustic showing some vegetal notes moving to black cherry menthol and white pepper..plate is a bit dusty in a good way and tannins are somewhat smooth and elegant.

Medium ruby; very ripe red fruits, Ruth a touch of black fruit, sweet baking spices; dry, medium acid, high tannins, high alcohol, full body, medium plus intensity flavors of ripe red and some black fruit, vanilla, sweet baking spices; long finish, a big bold wine

Macerated cherries, barnyard, earth, mold.

Fantastic herbal streak here; probably leaves folks wanting traditional Napa Cab wanting a bit more there, there. For me, beautifully understated and captivating, and especially nice at this price point. #kogodwinemerchant
