Heavy red fruit, with undertone of black and white pepper on the nose. Jammy taste, light acidity, medium-high body.

Cigar, cedar, black currant, toast and a tiny bit of vanilla. The palate is well made with a strong acid backbone, a good fruit all along, a smooth, almost velvety mouthfeel, rolling tannins in the rear before a long finish with currant, these rolling tannins, a tiny bit of a salty touch. It plays way above its league

There is a bit of pencil lead and a slight vegetal thing along with black currant on the nose. That's OK. The palate is great! Strong acid backbone, a good width, a nice weight on the sides with a nice matter, some nice dusty, grainy tannins, a long finish with black currant some salt, some meat and a drying consequence from the nice tannins. It's young, it's lively but it's quite good out of the bottle. My only drawback is the nose, really because the palate is well done, as always with clos manou

Similar type of structure as the 2015, but has less aromas, greener and more restricted range.

Emits leather balsamic aromas of Piedmontese Red but also hint of tobacco as well. The aromatic structure is broad and bit undefined, the body is rounder than traditional Bordeaux’s but not syrupy or soupy like some overripe modern styles. Lots of energy and offers better transparency than most Bordeaux’s. Absolutely no suggestion of commercial compromises and new-world sleekness.

A delicious, spicy red blend. Lots of red fruit and a lingering taste of cherry jam at the finish. A good stand-alone wine that doesn't need food to be at its peak. Best enjoyed in a big glass that will allow all the complexity of the nose to develop.

Dry and almost leathery from the cab. Little bit of spice on the finish. Nothing I find fantastic, but not bad tasting.
