This 10 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State is a nice surprise. Doesn't show its age at all, at this point.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate and good with food.

After a couple of hours of airtime it shows, red and black fruits with earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, bell pepper, vegetables, herbs, graphite and black coffee.

Nice finish with round tannins and tangy pomegranates.

Wine Enthusiasts 87 Points.

A little off balance, but has nice structure with a nice mouthfeel.

I've had it before, but at a younger age. Now it feels like a California Merlot, actually. Very interesting to try these kind of wines.

I paired it with a Charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

Aged in French oak barrels (30% new).

13.9% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

$22.

A lot more refined and softer than it's little brother the "Expedition". Still the big dark berry fruit, the profound American oak and a medium to long finish. $15 - 88pts.

Another surprise here at the end of the year. Didn’t realize Canoe Ridge had this in their reservoir. Wonderfully complex Cab Sauv from Washington State, Horse Heaven Hills. Gripping, intense yet smooth and complete. Specially produced for Washington State University. GO COUGS!!

Last bottle of this very good HHH cab. A bit more meaty and rustic on the nose than the last bottle that I can remember. Lightly candied fruits, round acidity, and polished tannins are coming together nicely. At its peak, but should stay here for another 4-5 years.

Value wine. First impression: smooth! Tannins are very light, dark fruity tobacco forward, surprisingly pleasant. Even better the next day.

I had great experience with their estate Merlot, and this reserve cab is quite impressive as well.
The initially shy nose slowly reveals black and blue berries, cedar, pencil lead, incense, cocoa, and hint of crushed rocks. The slightly ripe palate is round yet delicate, showing its classy with well woven streaking acidity and mellow tannins.
100% Cab from two vineyards from HHH, raised in 100% French oak barrel (45% new) for 20 months.

For the price..... Really good. Very dry. Drinks great right out of the bottle, zero wait time. Not complex, but a really nice drink.

Starts out with a sweet aroma. Tastes like batteries and crayons but in a good way. Not a very complex taste, but extremely smooth with a creamy finish. Pairs extremely well with sriracacados.
