Again. Upon second tasting w a new bottle. Utter crap. Worst wine I've ever had. This is nasty kombucha in a wine bottle. Never understood the biodynamic fad. And apparently this guy adds no additional sulfites, which shows. It tastes cooked, oxidized, and straight up nasty. Never has a wine frustrated me more. Slight effervescence indicates bottle re fermentation. Absolutely NO idea why KL is standing by this wine and pushing it so hard. Is there funk? Sure. If you don't know the first thing about wine you'd say, "hey! Now that's a lot of funk!" Funking horrible, this stuff.

The more L-A's wines evolve, the more I appreciate them. This '11 carmenere is still super fresh, full of tension, minerality and a beauty core of fruit.

Christmas spice and bright as the star of Bethlehem. This is the prettiest Carmenere I have ever encountered. Carbo?

Muted and a little dirty, but still refreshing.

There is some funkiness here and this wine is almost spectacular, but falls short in my opinion. Strong iron finish and a diary texture.

Hmmmm. Under ripe fruit. Decanted 2 hrs and complex nose developed. Black raspberry hints. Set aside to taste tomorrow
