Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy character. Just starting to show well but will age for next 10 years. Nice!

Sep 14th, 2021A blend of 70% Sangiovese, 20% Cab Sauv and 10% Merlot, fermented in oak and then spends 12 months aging in neutral oak, dark Ruby with aromas of berry fruit, sweet spice with an earthy tone. On the palate flavors of zesty raspberry and black cherry with cacao and some cinnamon notes. Firm tannins, a bit grippy at start, long finish, good balance and mouthfeel, ending with fruit and earthy mineral character. Nice!!

Mm mm. Grapey, rustic nose almost like Ripasso or Amarone. Palate has a gorgeous balance of tannin, funk, spice, dried acidic fruit, and dirt. The only components out of whack are the acid and alcohol. Hard to tell which is which, but a pummeling acidity and heat corrupt an otherwise complex mid palate.

Mar 12th, 2018Had another bottle, great wine. Deep Ruby with red berry fruit aromas and pleasant spice. A blend of Sangiovese (70%), Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc (20%) & Merlot (10%). On the palate cherry and strawberry with sweet spice, cacao and tobacco notes. Well balanced with acidity, fine tannins, lingering finish ending with earthy mineral notes. Very Nice. Consistent.
