Vintage 2015 | Multi blend from Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Chenin Blanc. Lovely effort! I gave the wine 4 hours in decanter and afterwards it had a velvety taste. Good concentration, berries in smell. Paired with Côte de Boeuf from the grill, morels and sweet potato. The only point that I don’t like is high alcohol. With the food the wine gets a nice impression of chocolate and cacao.

Big fat tannic behemoth. Good with boar ragu. Bit acerbic without food.

Anfangs weich, je länger er atmet etwa desto mehr Körper und Opulenz entwickelt sich, typisch für Weine der Region

Zwarte bessen, stevige body, klein zoetje in afdronk. Heerlijk met stoofvlees.

Came across as super young, as it should. Fruit forward but little nuance nor tannins. Good, but needs time to develop.

This is my all-time favorite. I find myself comparing other red blends using this as my standard. The tannins are rich and cedar-like, giving the wine a nice backbone.

Penny black indeed! This wine is like purple on the dark side of the moon. Nose matches up: blackberries, black cherries, black earth, tobacco, menthol and, almost inexplicably, rhubarb...and even more. Oh so sweet earth, mingled with black fruit and leather are among the delights of the palette. Extremely complex and bold, it got even better the longer it was in the glass. 2nd best S African wine I've ever had.

Continuing my recent red blend phase. Luxurious, lots of dark fruit with some spice, velvety texture. Liking it.
