Previous reviewer nailed it. Viscous, oxidative but somehow still stimulates rather than stifles the palate.

Unique and so interesting. Apple, honey, herbaceous, touch of salt - so much going on

Funky bottle shapes and sizes get to me, and Colares’ 600mL bottle always make me smile. The wine inside is just as cool and unique. Dark straw color with an apple and herbaceous nose. An oily, thicker texture that coats my whole mouth. Not flabby though. Salty sea air, tropical fruits, golden apples, slight oxidation. Complex and fun.

Amazing. Decant this. Watching this wine change in the glass was unreal. The next bottle I have I will open several hours before I drink it because by the time this wine was truly shining I had already finished the bottle 😫

Halfway between an Austrian white with its latexy noble weight and a wooly dessert Chenin. Exciting to try and discover on weird white explorer dinner.

100 year old own-rooted vines on sand dunes overlooking the Atlantic. Lots and lots of texture from 6 hours skin contact and short time in old Brazilian oak foudre, I also get sea air and pear skins. Perfect with aged cheeses and bring olives.
