Best Rosso di Montalcino we’ve had yet. Outshines a lot of Brunello we’ve been tasting, actually.

Cherries, raspberry. Smooth light in style. Really good the second day. I really like this! SS

Balanced, rustic, medium tannins and acid, wild cherries, tar, tobacco and a touch of pepper. Great value.

Darker cherries, raspberry, herbaceous, big acid fest w/ soft, round tannins. Nice finish with peppercorn and violets. Earthy & rustic but inherently elegant.

Lively and elegant. The previous bottle seemed more complex though.

This was a transcendent bottle of Rosso. I liked it better than Fonterenza Brunello 2005, and about as much as my other all-time favorite Rosso: 2008 Poggio di Sotto. Big surprise, as I'm not usually such a fan of 2009 in Tuscany.
