Metallico Un-Oaked Chardonnay

This is a lovely, savory Chardonnay, the kind that makes me sorry I usually pass up the grape on restaurant lists and in the wine shop in favor of something a bit more exotic. This is plenty. Slightly golden in color, the nose brings an earthy salinity to the table. It's a touch of lanolin that masks the Meyer lemon and tropical fruit. The palate also shades the fruit with earthiness and lemon peels. This wine has zippy acidity and is literally made to go with food. I like it as much as some Chardonnays I've tried at twice the price.

Unoaked. I like this bottle.

Light Straw yellow with stone fruit aromas with slight citrus notes. On the palate Apple, pear and orange flavors. Crisp with generous acidity lingering on the mineral finish. Un-oaked without malolactic fermentation this wine shows the true expression of fruit. Very refreshing.

Grapefruit notes

Needed a white white for my spicy shrimp fra diavolo. Found an unoaked Chardonnay and decided to give it a try. The lemon should add a nice kick. Decent wine.

Nice simple Chard! Flowers, fruit and minerals.
Costco < $15.
