It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a very tasty Napa Cabernet.

Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.

Fruity nose of blueberries, black plums, cherries, wood, cloves, vanilla, spices, espresso, vegetables, coffee, light alcohol, cola, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices and graphite. Great complexity on the nose.

Full bodied and elegant with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with black plums, blueberries, currants, vanilla, cedar, licorice, cloves, light vegetables, herbs, peppercorn, pencil lead, dark coffee, dark chocolates, coke, leather and tobacco.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy red cherries.

This is a great Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. Still young and needs another few years in the bottle to mature properly. Already delicious, though.

Showing great complexity on the nose, with a great mouthfeel. Spicy and tangy as it opens up.

This 8 year old from the great 2012 vintage, is drinking very nicely now.
I would love to revisit this in 3 to 5 years.

This Single Vineyard needs a couple of hours to open up properly and show some tannins.

Thank you Barry for sharing.

I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats, crackers and cheeses.

14.8% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$75.

This is a great Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Rich and tasty, big, bold and extracted and full of fruits.

Showing black fruits with tobacco, chocolates, mocha, leather, earth, peppercorn, cola, cedar, vanilla and licorice.

Full bodied and dry with great complexity and a great mouthfeel.

This is very tasty, especially after 3 hours in the decanter.

Still young, and would benefit from aging it for another 5 for 10 years.

A very enjoyable 9 year old Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from Saint Helena.

Showing red and black fruits with earth, chocolates, tobacco, spices, peppercorn and coffee.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Nice length on the finish with soft tannins and tangy pomegranates.

Doesn't show like a Napa Cabernet. Feels more like a California Merlot. Not what I expected from a Napa Cabernet at this age. Very tasty, though.

2011 enjoyed 10/17 lovely, complex. red fruits, cedar, fresh rosemary. Finishes bright, integrated tannins. Juicy. balanced.

Lovely cherry smoothness that seems almost Pinot in quality. Oak and smoke but not too. Love this!

Thanks Tom for bringing this over. Deep ruby red with purplish hues. Super tight and dark nose with notes of blackberries, dark cocoa, and baking spices. Very young on the palate and rich. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Long and lingering finish with a slight spicy bite with lots of baking spices like nutmeg and cinnamon. Even vanilla too. Coated in dark berries but needs more time to fully open up. Drink till 2028.

Young, but this will be terrific after four years in the cellar.

Nice smooth and bold red that was very food friendly, preferred aerated. A very nice wine we had at a home tasting but would not spend $60 on it
