Rich, sappy, lemon, wax and just a hint of honey and almonds. Nice example of non-oxidative savignin, crisp and bright without the flor influence. Lovely alongside a little Cowgirl Creamery Red Hawk.

Mar 1st, 2017Super interesting. Non-oxidative Savagnin. Reminds me a lot of Chenin Blanc, but spicier. Cutting acidity, but with breadth and this leafy, green character that for some reason puts me in mind of some sort of crunchy fruit seeds. There's a certain richness and power, but the tension and nervousness of the acidity almost cause some cognitive dissonance when you try and contemplate it.
