Delicious 2009 Cambiata Laumann Family Tannat-Monterey. Full bodied with great acidity. Paired well with grass fed filet mignon, roasted sweet potato, wild mushroom, peppercorn, dark chocolate sauce and truffle oil.

Wow - friends brought this over and I opened as the 2nd bottle before I saw the date... it should have sat longer, but wow! Hands down, best CA wine I have ever had

Dark inky red in color. Barnyard funk and cigar box nose. On the palate you get earthy notes, oak, tobacco and dark fruit. The finish is leather with lots of tannin and moderate acid. This is a big, bold wine that should pair well with beef stew, braised and grilled beef, and seasoned pork dishes. I'd love to try this vintage again in 5 years to see how it evolves.

Great nose, rich, dark, brilliant

This is a big wine and would go nicely with red meat. Has abut of an unusual aftertaste.

Dark fruit, chocolate, earthy undertones. Smooth rich tannins. Hard to believe it's a tannat. Definite oak.
