Marcillac Fer Servadou

Sour cherry, iron, mineral, black pepper, cured meat, autumn leaves, good acidity, medium+ body.

So great for not much dolla dolla bills!

Tasted at Ruffian, a Mecca for Godforsaken Grapes, at the launch of Jason Wilson's new book. Apparently this isn't a Cab Franc but something much more unusual. Think Cab Franc done and you're pretty much there though. Bright red fruits, touch of earth and wet leaves, plenty of acidity. Tastes hipster to me.

Crisp acidity on entry, earthy, wild berried, slight tobacco-like green tannins, lighter bodied and immensely refreshing at 12.5ABV.

Wet leaves and BO (BO you'd still cuddle with) on the nose. Somehow this isn't a CabFranc, but I still think they're full of shit. Buy it, it's weird.

Smooth sailing! A great choice of wine for sitting inside, watching the never ending swedish rain...

Just learned that this is the same as Valdiguie. Has many names. Lovely. A tad green, but not as much as Cab Franc. Funky, earthy, dark fruit.

This is the 2013 vintage

Juicy. Earthy. Blood and soil taste. Dry, meaty, low tannin. Lovely.

A rustic smell of barnyard without the funk.

The grape is Fer Servadou.
Light bodied, with sweet tart like flavor and feeling. A bit lively and enjoyably delicious mouthfeel of cherry leather, mojito mint.
A unique and tasty tipple.
