May 19th, 2017An amazing effort, even as a young wine, this Shiraz is fruit forward with blackberry and dark currant tones. Shiraz was once my favorite varietal until the Aussie style changed in the late 1990s to a more thick and sweet style. This more restrained wine may bring me back into the Shiraz fold!

Blackberry sauce, fruit cake, and sweet tobacco. Medium-full body, very smooth but not too spicy. Medium to somewhat full swing of acidity and tannins. Pretty tamed for a Syrah/Shiraz .
