Notes from memory. Stonier are one of the longer established vineyards in the Mornington Peninsula. Bright red fruits with a certain sappiness and sweetness.

Delectable this was the Pinot Noir. Having a nice pre performance meal prior to the “Book of Mormon “ at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre - Lyric Theatre - which was hilarious I thought. The wine was young, my first 2018 Red - fresh and simple. Some foresty and red fruit aromas. Good intensity for the price.

Surprised by how good this was. A bit of bricking but holding colour pretty well; smoky capsicum, red fruit and earth on the nose before a fairly long, thoroughly even old-Pinot palate. Very good drink; exceeded expectations.

Excellent example of 10 year old Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir. Still bright crimson in color. Lovely perfumed nose which was memorable. Medium bodied with spicy fruit. Amazing quality for the standard Pinot.

From a highly accredited maker of Pinot on the Mornington. Good aromatics with sappy Burgundian notes on palate. Good length. 17. Tried another on 15th July 2015. One of the best $20 Pinots in Australia. Good length with cherry notes. 17.5.

Can't believe I've only just got round to this, made by former colleagues and friends. It's superb. More colour than usual for a Stonier Pinot, from the 2013 vintage that culminated with some very sunny weather. The nose is ripe, summery strawberries with a good hint of underbrush and mushroom, toasty oak too in the background. The entry, too, has seductive red fruit but there's good depth and energy to the palate, which has a lovely, silky texture and some length. All in all, a smashingly good, delicious Mornington Peninsula Pinot.
