A gorgeous Barolo from 2005 vintage. The cru is Le Coste from Barolo village. The producer is Ferruccio Grimaldi (his hands in the background) from Giacomo Grimaldi winery. Out of magnum, so perfumed intense and charming. The structure is dense, silky. Lovely balance and long finish! Beautiful Barolo!

Relatively big nose with potpourri and fruitcake. Plenty of fruit and tannin on the palate. Hint of cloves. Lift at the end and a 45 second finish. Really nice.

Drinking great tonight. 3-4 hour decant. Still lots of tannins, and nice mix of flavors. Sung with beef roast!
