Intensely stony, minerally nose also displays dark blackberry fruit. Rich, inky and mouthfilling, the palate starts with low-toned dark fruit and segues into crushed rock and some drying tannins in the clingy finish. A really fine example of old-school Giggie.

Rich and soft style of Giggie. Nose has dark blackberry, some bakers chocolate, and a little bit of minerally earth. Brambly, intense blackberry fruit coats the mouth, with a note of moist earth/humus. Lots of soft tannin and a very pure, relatively long finish, in which an iron note lingers. I usually go for more terroir-driven Giggies, but this is well done in the more fruity style that avoids jamminess.

This bottle maybe wasn't as quite as explosive as before. More understated, but still solid.

No oak, Lots of ripe fruit on this one. Touch of sourness. Good balance. Quite complex.

I thought that this was pretty elegant for a big wine. It had a nice melody of smoke and fruit

Still very young. Lots of potential and I look forward to revisiting in a year or two. Ripe but tightly knit. No oak. Yay!

Rich dark fruit mixed with a hint of olives. Great value for a good wine.
