So incredibly young for 12 years old. A crazy blend of Red Grenache, Monestrell, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Tempranillo. Beautiful dark burgundy color, spicy, woody, and juicy in character. $30? You don't get wine like that often.

Quite seductive and substantial. Smooth with dark fruit overtones. Very much worth the price tag.

Has aged nicely - fruit still nicely prominent, but well-integrated structure #Baronia #Montsant #2001

2001 vintage drinking super smooth like nothing else I've ever had. Dried red and black fruit with a creaminess on the palate that was quite enjoyable. Surprising amount of fruit and has certainly aged well. Quite a lot of alcohol in this one too but overall a solid pick!

I could not tell if the nose had more plum than blackberry or vice versa. But I can say blueberries won out on the palate. There was some dirty rock as well and a touch of spice that lingered for a while. Overall average to me. It did have some nice touches, may have better with food.

Wine definitely opened up more at the 2 hr mark of aeration. Served with skirt steak. Great compliment.

Parkerish wine. hedonistic full fruit with so many varietals. Hints of floral. Balanced acidity. Paired well with food. Opened up throughout the night. #hedonistic #parker #spainwines #spanishwine #foodfriendly #totalwineandmore

Not fantastic - many of the fruit flavors seem to have died off, and the spiciness seems a little brittle and muted. Clearly past maturity but still easy to drink.
