Classic Fronsac nose and palate of dark red fruit and graphite with good grippy tannins, if a wee bit overboard with the new oak for my tastes. Still, an excellent value at 10 bucks a half bottle and perfect for the train.

Buy this up. It doesn't get better for $20. Incredible value, and will see another 10 years at least, and in the world of 2015 Bordeaux so far, none are cheap. Black plum skin, black cherries, graphite, chalky mineral, tobacco, black licorice, bell pepper, mocha; tannins finely integrated, and focused in the wine, with medium body and already showing promise.

Medium bodied, zingy acidity, simple primary fruit, slightly astringent tannins. Doesn't really taste like a 2009, but pleasant if not earth shattering.

Seriously Total Wine, how dare you gouge people on this wine! If you think Merlot doesn't have "umph," you NEED this wine! Oh yeah, I sell it for $16.99, not $25.

Warm black fruit, with black tea and tobacco notes, packed with charcoal on the backbone. Silky despite its youth/grip.
