Very good. Fragrant nose is classic Bojo: ripe, deep, crunchy cherry and tons of crushed granite. A nice warm autumn spice note too. On the palate, it’s a tad more austere than the nose would lead you to expect. Tons of crushed granite minerals, a bit of dark cherry in the background. It’s fairly extracted, with some chalky tannin and a bit of bitter astringency in the finish. Overall, good, but it’s definitely a wine that benefits from being drunk with food rather than on its own.

Jan 8th, 2019Delicious! Nose leaps out of the glass: sweet squashed cherries, a little funk, lots of granite. So soft, ripe, and minerally in the mouth. Much drier than the opulent nose suggests. So good. Love the 14s in Bojo.

Dec 29th, 2018Nose is both very farmyardy and fresh. Lots of crunchy Gamay hard cherry candy fruit, lots of cracked granite, but also a bit of manure. In the mouth, the fruit takes a backseat to the minerality, leaving a lean and austere impression. I actually think I would have liked this better a year ago when there likely was more fruit. But it is still quite enjoyable.

Oh fuck yah mayhaps I’ll always overrate a gamay from a cru. Like god damn Fleurie. I dunno. All I know is I love a complex Gamay. So let’s suck it up:, the red/black/blue notes are in but be willing to gulp more. Let the licorice SPEAK! Love that licorice-y shit. Sup it up.

Absolutely beautiful floral aromatics, intense and pure. Spring flowers, lavender, and rose petals. Citrus and red berry on the palate with some good stone minerality, but a little thin. Finishes with more acid than a Dead show... they could change the name to Jerry Garcia's Flower Shop.

This is just OK, barnyard notes, really suffers after the two 2011 Pignard Morgon wines, pretty ordinary. Re-rating since after a fair amount of aeration, way improved, but no better than my revised rating!
