The 2021 Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands) is packed with dark red/purplish fruit, lavender, sage, mint, tobacco and mocha. This potent appellation-level Pinot Noir will surely be a crowd-pleaser, as it offers tons of fruit density and plenty of allure. I would give it a few months in bottle to soften. Aug 2nd, 20222019 vintage and the best I’ve tasted from non-estate Roar. Don’t even think about drinking this without at least a 4 hour decant. Came together on day 2 and was still singing on day 3. This is a roaring Pinot that pulls no punches. Gorgeous and well integrated. Ripe dark fruit flavor and nicely acidic. Cheers!
