This is the 2022 Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc. This is from Marlborough, New Zealand.

On the nose is the distinct aromas of lime, grapefruit, white peach, guava herbal notes, grass and pear.

On the palate there is grapefruit, lime, pineapple, mango and white peach.

This is a medium bodied wine with a cleanfresh mouth watering mothfeel medium+ acidity and a lind crusp citrus lime grapefruit finish. A wonderful wine for the money. Looks like the weekend should be a good one with some crisp cool weather. Wish you an eventful weekend. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! πŸ₯‚πŸ₯‚πŸ₯‚πŸ₯‚

Tonight's wine is the 2018 Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.

The nose reveals aromas of lime, grass, melon, grapefruit, mandarin orange, orange peel and wet concrete.

On the palate there are notes of grapefruit, nectarine, passionfruit, lime and mlm limestone minerality.

This wine is medium bodied with a smooth rich balance and high acidity that moves right into a long clean, crisp, minerality finish. I am really liking these New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs and they don't disappoint. Let's have a great weekend this weekend and enjoy whatever wine or wines you decide to drink. Lets be safe and be kind to each other. Nostrovia! πŸ₯‚πŸ₯‚πŸ₯‚πŸ₯‚

Delightful - lively - with a subtle grapefruit rind and slight hint of RS. A crowd pleaser

Grass, gooseberries and lemon. Initially tasty but faded a bit. A pleasing summer wine.

Winemaker's Notes: #53 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2012 Imagine a refreshing sorbet-like medley of fresh lychee, grapefruit and honeydew melon laced with flinty minerality and finished with an infusion of mandarin and lime zest. A lively, invigorating wine with persistent grapefruit flavours and a steely blackcurrant tang – crisp but succulent with a long enduring finish. Critical Acclaim: This intriguing white delivers a complex aromatic note that includes whiffs of petrol, oolong tea, mineral and lanolin, giving way to an equally complex flavor profile. Crunchy green apple, Meyer lemon and melon flavors are refreshing, balanced, and persistent on the finish. 92 Points Wine Spectator Pale, bright yellow. Highly aromatic nose combines grapefruit rind, underripe pineapple, white pepper, fresh herbs and stony minerality. Rich, pliant and fairly full, but with a juicy sappy quality to the orange blossom and spice flavors. In a rather forward style but bright framing acidity gives it definition and thrust. Finishes with excellent length. Greywacke is the new project of sauvignon blanc guru Kevin Judd, who put Cloudy Bay on the map during his 25 years as winemaker there. 91 Points International Wine Cellar Former Cloudy Bay winemaker Kevin Judd’s new label displays a vibrant pungency to its leafy aromas, then opens up on the palate to add gooseberry and grapefruit notes. It's refreshingly medium bodied, with a slightly creamy texture and a long finish filled with pink grapefruit. 90 Points Wine Enthusiast

Greywacke is Kevin Judd's present label, after serving as winemaker at Cloudy Bay and propelling the winery to global acclaim. The name Greywacke refers to a type of river stones found throughout New Zealand. At Greywacke, Judd proves to still be a master of Sauvignon Blanc, and his "Wild Sauvignon" is no excpetion. This is the apex of what oak-fermented New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc can be - one doesn’t lose the untethered audacity of its varietal character. Tactile and lengthy, it tastes of sesame seeds, grapefruit, thyme, parsley, green apple skin, and sea salt. Palate coating, but still feral and daring.
