Very primary. Loads of cassis, oak spice, vanilla, graham cracker and pipe tobacco. Some resinous herb quality on the nose. High alcohol and heavy oak are on full display.

What an outstanding wine; drinking great, super smooth like silk with a load of berries (including cranberries) some spice and herbs. Dehlinger makes a bunch of excellent wines and their cab is one of those for sure. Luckily I been buying them since the mid-80s so have a bunch but buying more at $80 is just out of my reach.
