The funkiness of the Qvevri fermentation gives it almost a sense of age to it. Fun, different wine. Enjoyed the whites too.

Something a bit different! Native varietal from Georgia. High acidity, but bursting with fresh red fruit. Fabulous with a mixed cheese board and charcuterie at Terroirs, Charing Cross.

@ Vino Underground in Tbilisi. Native grape Shavkapito 2012. Still young, but bright acidity counterbalanced w a feisty dose of funk

Manure. BBQ sauce, rougher tannin

Georgian Nebbiolo, big black fruit, leather and incense, moderate tannins but super drinkable

So much subtlety going on with this wine. Lots of flavors from great fruit and great minerality. Lots of complexity that is super fun to unpack. Definitely have the sensation of never being able to taste all of the flavors in this.
