Tendu California Vermentino Blend

Muted, slightly flat, Vermentino from a terrific producer. A 2016 under bottle cap, perhaps opened a little too late. White flowers, lemon pith, some acidity... decent value at 1L.

Pale straw color. The nose is muted with hints of lime zest and herbs. Light bodied and lean on the palate featuring stony minerality more than fruit. Decent acidity with bitter finish. Made from 100% Vermentino and offered in 1L bottle with crown cap for $23. Consumed on premise as wine by the glass offering likely accounting for lackluster showing of a bottle that had been open a day or two.
