Sangio made with a nod to the French. Significant oak and elegant (restrained) fruit. forest floor + stewed tomatoes.

What a nice surprise. Sangiovese channeling Morgon. Fresh, bright and clean red cherry fruit with a refreshing lightness and nice length. Yummy, great PV. Needed 30 min decant to sort out early awkward phase.

Before James Suckling and The term "Super Tuscan" there was a producer making blends with French grapes for more than 300 years....this is a wine that will confound the haters, and hopefully reeducate them.

Holy smokes this is good, the purity in this wine is so appealing and perceptible.
Sangiovese 75%, Cabernet Sauvignon 15%, Canaiolo 10%
Sweet and fresh crushed cherries, a touch of cassis, a touch of fresh flowers and herbs, with fine and supple tannin and a bright, fresh red fruit acidity. This wine is so pleasing and complete. The finish is long but nimble and clean!
A top five new find (for me). Apparently these guys have been around a while but are impossible to find here in the US.
