Pluris Smaragd Grauburgunder

Honey, melon, and stone on the nose. Smooth, richly fruited but finishes dry with impressively snappy acidity. Great bottle development with plenty of years ahead of it. 14.5% alc.

Holy white pepper and wet rock, batman. My first aged Gruner. Mango, papaya. Gorgeous, concentrated. I'm hooked. *edited - this isn't Gruner, it's Pinot Gris!!!!! Even more impressive!*

More mineral, talc, oyster shells, lime blossom beautiful, sweet acid bal. nice and totally solid but I'm buying singerreidel

I'd be fine if all Pinot Grigio tasted like this.

So I did the thing where I had a three hour lunch with friends and this was one of the bottles we opened. It's the only Pinot Gris from Austria that I've ever had, and I'll definitely have it again. It was incredible, lush, high acid and remarkably complex.

Could be the best Grauburgunder I have had to date! Had it with Some homemade Pho... Wow

So perfect.

Concentrated, lengthy, rich. This is one big white wine!
