Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay

Vintage 2018 | Nice luncheon wine, true to type Chardonnay, smoky and light spicyness

An elegant and not too dry wine. No oak (fermented in stainless steel tanks). A good value Macon.

Crisp and drinkable

Colour - quite dark yellow and not much legs
Smell - fresh and a lot of green apples. Very typical Chardonnay without the oak
Taste - very strong bite, full bodied, mouth feel slightly tannic from the finish. Finish is very long and clean with a slightly mineralic feel. Not a crisp wine and probably good for stronger taste food pairing.

Smooth, light and slightly buttery. Had it on Christmas Day 2018, great drinking.

Classic buttery peach / honeydew melon upfront, leading into citrus and a bit of salt to finish

Pretty lean and sharp.
Go for the Montbellet or the Uchizy next time.
