Dolcetto d'Alba Dolcetto

Lackluster, unexciting chalky grape juice. Oh, wait, those are my tasting notes for every Dolcetto ever.

While I loved this wine the first time I had it, on a second bottle it lost some of its luster for me. Soft texture, low acidity and plum-forward palate, it is certainly a crowd pleaser.

Not bad. A crowd pleaser.

Medium body, medium+ tannins, was a great wine with chicken artichoke pizza and Brussels sprouts.

Still haven't found a Dolcetto I like. Flavor profile just isn't for me.

バローロ屈指の銘醸地、セッラルンガダルバで3世代続くボアッソガブッティが造るバルベーラダルバ。セッラルンガダルバのクリュ「マルゲリア」と「メリアーメ」の畑のバルベーラを半分ずつ使用。発酵後25hlの新樽で10ヶ月間熟成。ノンフィルターで瓶詰。セッラルンガの力強さがそのまま表現されているバルベーラ。濃密な果実にチョコやトウガラシなどのスパイシーなニュアンスが次々と広がる複雑なアロマ。フルーティーというよりもむしろ男性的な力強さを感じる、しっかりとした味わいです。

A bit too bitter and chalky for my taste. The aromas however are fairly nice. Just find it a bit acidic.
