Nothing much to add to my notes of 16 weeks ago except notes of stewed fruit like Rhubarb with some stalky herbal notes. Basically too light for me.

Mac Forbes is a young up and coming producer from the Yarra Valley. The wine is pale to mid Ruby in colour. The nose shows sweet soft red fruits of strawberry and cherry with some stemminess. Light weight on the palate but well made. One punter compared it to a fine Savigny les Beaune. Overall a little light for my palate. My first Mac Forbes Pinot Noir - I hope future bottles live up to the hype. Mac makes other Pinots from Yarra Valley microclimates.

Not my cup of tea, but an interesting enough wine to enjoy.

Bright and fresh, med bodied and very drinkable Pinot. Bit of whole bunch here, I reckon: jumped up strawberry,, touch of tea

Lovely elegant floral Pinot from the Yarra. Mac clearly knows his local terroir…

Really nice Australian pinot. Light body, but deep complexity.
