This is a red sparkling wine that is dark red in color. The nose is grape juice and raisin. In the mouth you get red grape with tart cherry and cranberry. The tartness lingers a while in the finish along with toasted raisin and some acid. Strangely fruity yet dry. If you made it a bit sweeter I might mistake it for just sparkling grape juice with some cranberry. It is refreshing, though, without the sticky mouthfeel of grape juice.
