Was wondering if my tastes moved away from this in the last 18 months, but I’m impressed once again with my last bottle of this 2016. I may be repeating myself, but this brings out much of the greatness of CA Cab Sauv (dark fruit, spice, graphite, cedar, incense) without the ponderous new oak attack and flabby extraction. High acid CS, great with food, absolutely ridiculous at $20. Will be on the lookout for more. Enjoyed with homemade burgers and fries.

I think this is one of the best Cali cabs you can get for this price. Aromatic and fruit forward, not burdened by new oak, and ready to drink tonight with a range of cuisines. High acid keeps your mouth watering, and high-toned red fruit and crystalline pyrazine character keep it super interesting. Low alcohol (12.9%) and lighter in body - makes you feel good.

Nice to see a cab going for elegance instead of power, but this is all out of whack. Sour cherry. High acid.

I remember thinking this was good the last time I had it, probably 12 vintage. But I'm really loving this 14. It's of dark fruit, cassis, blackberry, licorice, but lower alcohol make it super drinkable. Reconvinced me that I can enjoy a glass of Cab more than once or twice a year.

Nice glass at STEM in Mission Bay while sitting under the heat lamp and looking at twinkly Oakland.

Blend of northern and southern Alexander Valley fruit. Picked at 22 brix and aged in neutral bbl. restrained and fresh style. Ripe nose but old world structure. Killer

Excellent less than $20 cab that offers purity of fruit without oak.

It opens with earthy, soil aromas and has a fruit forward start with notes of dark plum and drinks light. There is a start of complexity, however a layer is missing to complete its balance. Finishes with cherry tart, tannins.
