Deep Ruby with aromas of black fruit with oak and herb spice. On the palate this blend of about 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc shows flavors of blackberry and black cherry, cacao and herb vanilla oak. Medium+ finish, fine tannins, ok balance ending with fruit, herb spice and oak. Tasting Sample.

2021 vintage primeur. Impressive for the vintage, and especially the right bank.

2018 vintage. A nice discovery. Dark red. Has power and depth. Very good length too.

Drank 7/11/19. Tasting event. Tasting pour.

Red fruit, black fruit, cassis, and earth on the nose. Palate closed, with dry, black fruit. Long, dry finish. Should improve, but dont touch for another 5 years.

Dark purple color. Aromas of black fruit and spice. Palate displays blackberries, firm rustic tannins, with some oak and earthy notes on a medium finish ending somewhat tight. Ok but not great.

This is the star of the show at this point! An oft-overlooked bottle from Montagne-St-Emilion comes out as a rockstar in the 2015 vintage. The nose is captivating with smoldering firewood and ground spices leaping out of the glass. The palate is textured with nutmeg and more spice, vanilla, and oak. Darker fruit, anise, wild black cherry, and a touch of smoke round out the palate. This is a definite winner, especially at the modest $30 price point.

Deep Ruby with complex black fruit aromas adding in some oak and spice. On the palate this Merlot and Cab Franc blend shows blackberry and dark cherry, cacao and sweet oak flavors. Lingering finish, fine tannins, well balanced ending with fruit and pleasant oak. Tasting Sample.

This is a stupid good value from montagne st Emilion. Under $20 and loads of dark berries, vanilla and cassis. Drinks like a $40 st emilion. Very clean and no funk whatsoever. Very rich as well

Stewed fruit, smoke (heavy toast) and oak on the nose. Awkward palate - smoky, a little vegetal with med heavy tannins. Probably needs another 4 - 5 years to soften tannins.

Solid, struuctured and dark. Muscular for a saint emillion but still true to form.
