Snagged at Whole Foods primarily to add to a beef stew. Ended up drinking the second half of the bottle with dinner because it was quite nice! A relatively simple, fruit-forward Barbera, totally clean and approachable. For the price ($13) a nice red for bringing to a potluck, party, etc as it’s versatile and not overly complicated. Would buy again.

This #Barbera is a little more boozy than I remember stylistically. Dark red #wine primarily with watery sheen. Aromas of black cherry, blue/purple flowers, damp earth. Smooth body. Black cheery fruits with quick tannins on the finish.

Found at Alameda Wine Co. Floral bouquet, fruit forward, with some nice depth.

Medium ruby in color; cherries, dried herbs, and black pepper on the nose; high acidity, medium tannins; tastes like tart cherries, blackberries, and crushed gravel with a long finish. Nellie says it's ok. I love it.

Light for a barbera. Smooth but lacks some umph.
