Ripe and big oak influences.
14% a solid boarder line old schooler.
If it's not an Options game, have you really 'tasted' the wine?! :)

Dusty cedar on the outset, caramel and lees notes. Quite a well developed richness for a young wine.
Butter, higher residual sugars suit the rich style. Not sweet though. Same bottle 48hrs later and still good!
All melted together. Yum.

Petaluma white Label Chardonnay-
While I am enjoying this it bugs me to think how much better it could be. A bit of new oak for a start and although the full malo doesn't seem to be adding much the acid is persistent yet soft. The oak would have made a huge difference across the board. The fruit quality is there!
It's not my style of chardy but it deserves 8.5. -Tasted again 31/01/15
Tasting a lot more oak influence and complexity this time including some buttery notes. Oak is perfect :)

Yumo who doesn’t love wine and platter nights am I right. What’s your go-to platter wine?

I think mines Chardonnay, well to be honest, Chardonnay is my all-the-time wine 😂

I was so looking forward to digging into this Petaluma Wine 2019 Chardonnay sample I received (thank you!!) from South Australia’s Adelaide Hills region. And it didn’t disappoint - especially when teamed with the ash goats cheese 👌

In the glass it’s the colour of hay. While on the nose it makes me think of creamy vanilla, white chocolate, flowers, stone fruit and orange peel. In the mouth it has a smooth vanilla custard texture with juicy peaches and nectarines and a zippy citrus finish. Delish!

This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

Good chardonnay. Low on oak. As it says, creamy texture and lovely soft acid.

What a testament to great winemaking. Also think this is from the vineyards of the Gray family of Cowra Estate??

One of my favourites. Consistent quality, lighter style chardonnay. Very drinkable.
