2018 vintage. Biodynamically farmed 100% Merlot. Partly mechanically harvested with latest technology. Aged one year in big wooden casks ( 59 and 45 hl) and used barriques. Well-made wine, with concentrated, slightly jammy fruit, balanced by a serious ripe tannic structure. The alcoholic heat of the vintage (abv. 14,5%) is obvious in the finish, but good value at less than 10 euros.

9.1

Big, powerful and dark. Deep cherry notes with subtle green pepper notes. The wine is young now, but has enough body and vibrant acidity to make up for it - but I am sure it will continue to gain complexity.

Becky rated a 9.2. Wonderful easy drinker with a slight earthy taste. Marginally less fruity then my normal favorites.

Bought this at the local supermarket here in New Zealand. Mostly to try something as well as being from an organic vineyard.
